I asked the people in my private Facebook group the other day for their advice…
You see, I’m looking to come up with a new program to help more people with their health and fitness.
I asked the group what sort of things they would like.
(Check out the poll…)
As you can see, the most popular request was a combination of 10-minute workouts, abs/core and follow along videos.
Perhaps no surprise on the abs and core front, eh?! :)
Now, what I’d normally do when I create a program is add lots of follow-along videos (as requested) – so that you can simply press play and copy what I do.
But until I’ve drawn up the entire program and it’s structure I wanted to share a 10-minute workout that you can do today.
You up for that?
Okay, here we go…
10-Minute Bodyweight Burn Workout
Because time is of the essence I’ve actually built the warm-up into this workout for your convenience.
It’s a combination of bodyweight cardio and abs.
Now, the idea is to work through the cardiovascular exercises with good pace to get your ticker going.
If you’re doing it right, you should be blowing quite a bit.
1A. Full Body Extension
1B. Bicycles
1C. Stance Jacks
1D. Walking Plank
1E. Burpees (or walk out burpees)
Now, in terms of timing this is what I recommend…
Beginner: 30 seconds work/30 seconds rest on each exercise for 2 rounds
Intermediate: 45 seconds work/15 seconds rest on each exercise for 2 rounds
Advanced: 60 seconds on each exercise (therefore no rest) for 2 rounds
Now, if you’re new to these exercises above, then don’t fear – I’ve got you covered!
You can see my ugly mug perform a quick demo of each exercise below…
Full Body Extension
Bicycles
Stance Jacks
Walking Plank
Burpees
If you struggle with burpees, then there are 2 options to make them easier:
- Do the walkout burpee – rather than having your feet jump in and out, simply step one foot back at a time.
- Put your hands on a chair – this makes the exercise easier by reducing the load on your arms and legs.
So, there you have it….
A quick 10-minute workout that’ll get your abs and core workout all while burning the fattimus from your assimus (and many other places).
If you’ve liked this workout, please feel free to comment and share below.
Cheerio,
