What is it with cushions and fluffy pillows?

Mrs W has a real fondness for them.

In fact, I’d go as far as to say that she loves them.

Makes the place look “nice” apparently.

And there was me thinking they were to make you more comfortable or to rest your head on when you’re tired.

These cushions and fluffed up pillows have been strategically placed all over our house.

I think we’ve got about 10 of them just in our lounge and another 10 on top of our bed.

If there is ever a cushion shortage just give me a bell.

It’s these cushions on the bed that really do me nut in though.

Same routine every morning and every night.

First thing in the morning we make the bed and pop the cushions back in the their rightful place.

And just before going to bed we stack them neatly in the corner whilst giving them a pat on the head for a good day’s work.

I see these cushions for a grand total of 2 minutes every day.

But yet I’ve got to spend the rest of my life carting them back and forth from the bed.

Oh well, that’s married life for ya.

I get my own back on Mrs W by watching the TV through the little preview box.

She hates it when I do that.

Actually there’s a lot of things I do that wind her up, but we won’t get into that right now ;)

Where am I going with all of this ‘pillow talk’?


Getting yourself into a routine, more specifically.

Even if you don’t really like it (or want to).

For example…

Getting out of bed early and exercising.

Starting the day with scrambled eggs rather than a bowl of Frosties.

Not drinking booze through the week.

Drinking green tea even though it makes you gag.

In essence, develop a routine that’ll help you burn more chubbage.

Making that routine the norm.

Making it part of your lifestyle.

Just like putting several extra cushions on the bed EVERY day.

It might not be fun or exciting, but there’s a result at the end of it.

For me that’s keeping Mrs W happy.

For you that’s losing fat, getting fit and having more energy.

Which in time will make you VERY happy :)

Make this routine a habit and you’ll look wonderful in those skimpy under-crackers of yours.
