According to WebMD there are three reasons that people give as to why they don’t lose their flubber.

Wanna know what those reasons are?

Here you go…

1. Not enough time

2. Too tired

3. Can’t get away from the kids

On face value, you might say “fair enough”.

But if we dig a little deeper, we can probably solve all of these issues.

So, for shits and giggles, lets do that…

hourglass1. Not enough time

I’ll admit, to get 6 pack abs you need to be hitting the gym several times a week.

However, to lose weight and get fit you don’t need to spend hours in a gym or even spend hours exercising.

I don’t know where people get the idea that you need to exercise for an hour, as if it’s some fat loss timing trick.

Lemme tell you now, you can burn fat in much less time.

All you need to do is make sure that the exercise you’re doing is going to give your metabolism a big ol’ jolt and get your hormones to play ball.

I’d go as far as saying 5 x 10-20 minute workouts are better than 3 x 60 minute workouts IF you’re doing the right kind of exercise.

Of course, it’s not just about the exercise time.

If you’re off to the gym you’ve got to get there, get changed, showered, etc.

Simple solution.

Exercise at home.

tired2. Too tired

I know some people are well and truly cream-crackered and for these peeps getting their head down early for the night will do more good than having a workout.

However, the reason so many people are tired is because they eat shoddy food, stay up late watching pointless TV and then get up early for work.

Rinse and repeat.

It’s not wonder they’re tired, overweight and falling apart at the seams.

Unfortunately this is not something I can fix with a wave of a wand or a simple solution.

If they stop eating processed food, lots of sugar and drinking half a bottle of wine after work every night, that’ll be a step in the right direction.

Do this and they’ll start feeling better within the space of a couple of weeks.

They’ll have more energy than you can shake a stick at.

But they (including you) have got to want to change.

You’ve got to REALLY want to improve your health and well-being.

And when you start looking after your health the weight starts to drop off.

Unfortunately, lots of peeps wait for something to go drastically wrong in their life before thinking, ‘I need to start looking after myself’.

Why not start to look after yourself now?

I’ve got a 3 year old little girl.

She can be a handful at times, but loves watching Daddy exercise.

She’ll even join in with me and Mrs W.

Again, you don’t need to go to a gym to lose weight.

You can exercise at home.

There are apps, DVDs and programs like Lean in 19 that show you how to exercise at home without any equipment in a very short amount of time.

Get the kids to join in or cheer you on.

Be a role model to them.

Show them that eating healthy and exercising is what you do.

And if you do it, they will too.

The bottom line is that you can make up a million and one reasons as to why you can’t, but how about coming up with a million and one solutions as to how you can and how you will?
