I know a lady that once lost 9 inches from her waist over the course of 3 weeks.

Do you think that 9 inches was from pure fat?

Nah, course not…

Like most peeps, this lady was suffering from major bloating.

You see, eating the wrong type of grub can cause your belly to blow up like a balloon and leave your digestive system in despair. So…

If you suffer with bloating and could do with losing a few inches from your waistline, listen up…

I’ve got a few little gems that’ll reduce your belly bloat pronto…

1) Drink hot water with lemon juice first thing in the morning

Not only will it help get things “moving” in the morning, the lemon juice has an alkalizing effect which will help help flush out toxins and give you more energy.

2) Cut out the dairy

So many people feel better without dairy, yet there are tons more that don’t even realize that it’s messing with their digestive system. Plus, if you’re skin needs a boost, then dropping dairy from your diet will certainly help. And dont’ fall for the calcium myth. Milk isn’t the best source of calcium.

3) Bit of exercise

Bending, twisting, stretching and even a spot of jumping can release trapped air. Believe me, I’ve had clients that have let out the odd toot when exercising with me. Even little old Mary, bless her!

4) Tropical fruit

Both pineapple and papaya contain enzymes that can help banish bloat by breaking down protein and easing digestion.

5) Slow down

If you suffer with trapped air or indigestion, it could be because you’re eating way too quickly. Slow that shiznit down.

6) Drink more water

Kinda goes without saying, but it never hurts to have a reminder. This will help flush out toxins and extra salt, that can cause your belly to bloat and store excess water.

7) Stop eating

Regardless of what your parents told you when you’re a kid, you don’t have to eat everything on your plate. You can stop when you’re full. There’s no need to polish off a giant plate of pasta just because it’s there in front of you. Exercise your right to stop.

8) Dodge the fizzy pop

A sure fire way to cause maximus bloatus is to drink fizzy pop. I’m talking coke, lemonade, etc. Not only will they bloat your belly, these drinks will also slam the doors to fat loss and whack on a giant padlock to see to it that you never burn belly chub…that goes for diet drinks too.

9) High fiber

You should be aiming for around 30 grams of fiber a day. Good sources include avocado, raspberries, chia seeds, and pears. Notice I didn’t mention grains in here, there’s a reason for that. #bloat

10) Fancy a cuppa

Spices like cinnamon and ginger help clear out your system, so throw them in a cuppa or find some ready made teas like a lovely ginger & lemongrass tea.

Cheers ears,

      Hi Gavin
Really good tips here, thanks. My nutritionist told me I don’t intake enough protein daily. I have been trying to increase the amount to 75-80 gr/day. I lean on daily like cottage cheese, no-fat plain greek yogurt, and meat for my protein source. Too much dairy does tend to halt movement. Any suggestions for low calorie, low fat, non-dairy foods? Is there a tasteless protein powder I can mix into my coffee or water? They all seem to be flavored,
When you mentioned hot water with lemon, how much lemon are you suggesting? An ounce, a slice, a teaspoon?

      Thanks
      Carolyn
